Coyote

This big fella came down my driveway a couple of night ago around 3am. He looks almost as tall as my Maremma sheepdog Toffee.

Blue Heron

For the sixth summer in a row, the Blue Heron has returned :) What a magnificent looking bird! This one is the male, there is also a smaller brownish one here too (A female). They are very shy birds and fly away quickly when we try to get pics of them. The pics below are some of the best we've been able to get!

 

July 19

Hi! Hope you are all doing well! I'm doing ok! I just finished round #3 of chemo today. The Drs say that it looks like the chemo is working! I feel so blessed!

A friend sent me the purple/pink wig; so cute! 

I've been feeling so well these last couple of weeks, I got a pile of yardwork done. This is Turtle lane; the area the cows ruined. It has been 14 months; the area is finally usable again! There are pumpkin patches on each side at the front of the area. 

It's been a really rough year, but things are getting better. The chemo is working and with that my pain is getting better and I'm feeling better and better.

Cancer

 Hi friends!

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, as you know I've been really sick.

Sadly, I have uterine sarcoma, which is a type of uterus cancer. I had a Total hysterectomy, plus they had to remove a piece of my small bowel and then sew it back together. I was one week at New Glasgow hospital and three weeks in Halifax. It was horrible. They got 98% of the cancer out. I start chemo in a couple of weeks.

I have also started a couple of alternative cancer treatments - RSO/CBD cannabis and turkey tail. Turkey tail mushrooms are being sued in Japan to fight cancer and being tested in the States.

I'm scared, but plan on fighting tooth and nail to beat this. I love my life dearly and want to be around another 20-30 years.

All this medical stuff is expensive, if anyone wants to help out a bit with medical costs (alternative therapies, meal replacement drinks, frequent taxi cabs to the Dr, prescriptions not covered by the government etc etc), my etransfer email is:

Health update

 Hello friends!

Hope you are all doing well.

I'm still sick. Still very sick. :( 

My iron is still nonexistent and my hemoglobin (blood volume) is now at 100 (it should be 120)

I still have two infections ripping through my body.

And they found a baseball sized fibroid growing off the outside wall of my uterus. It is also attached to my bowel.

I have a MRI on March 29 and surgery sometime in April.

Hopefully once the fibroid is out the iron/blood problems will fix itself.

I'm beyond exhausted and can't work. Life sort of sucks right now, but I'm sure once this nasty fibroid gets taken care of things will get much better!
