Wednesday

Good morning friends! It's a bit of a rain day today, so I'm taking the day off from hay/poop moving. Back to work on it tomorrow.

I picked up my fixed wagon this morning. Cost me $46 to fix. The welder did a great job on it. It's actually sturdier now than when I got it!

I got some chicks I ordered back in Jan yesterday. 3 Rhode Island Reds; 3 Barred rock/Columbian rock crosses; and 3 ring-tailed pheasants.

The dog we got on Sunday, Levi, is doing a bit better. as expected, he is missing his old family horribly. An eight year old dog really shouldn't be rehomed, but sadly things happen. I'm sure in another week or so, he'll be part of the pack.

Wishing you all a great day! Hugs and love!

Day Off

Happy Monday friends! Hope you all had a great weekend!

I called the welding place here in Thorburn and they can fix my wagon for me tomorrow! Yay! They said it would only cost $20-$30! Yippee! So lucky! That's a huge stress off my shoulders. I'll take it down first thing tomorrow morning.

Yesterday, I saw an ad for a senior dog in need of a new home. I volunteered to adopt it. He's an eight year old Golden Retriever. His name is Levi.

Here's a photo of him. He's a real cutie!

Levi is struggling a bit today as he's really missing his family. Poor old guy. It'll take him a couple of weeks to adjust to his new life. I feel mighty bad for him. What a horrible thing, having your life ripped apart. His heart must be shattered.

Wishing you all a great day! Hugs and love!

Load 197 and a Broken Wagon

Happy Saturday friends! We made it to load 197 today ... and the wagon broke. The bolt on the front snapped. The wagon is less than a year old :( Honestly, I feel so damn discouraged. I just want to sit down a cry. There goes $200 out the window and I don't even have money to buy a new one. How the heck am I going to finish moving all the rest of the poop? Now those damn cows have cost me even more money. I feel so sad.

Here's my daily pic- only 17 loads as I couldn't finish the last 3 loads cause the wagon broke

And of course, more hay bale string!

The string in the pic below was so intertwined in the hay/poop I couldn't get it out. Will have to dig down deeper and move more hay/poop to get it.

Well, that's it for me today. I'm feeling pretty miserable so gonna curl up and watch TV for the rest of the day. Hugs and love! Be safe friends!

Work, work, work

Good day dear friends! I bet you know what I did this morning ... moved more hay/poop. Another 20 loads! We have now officially moved 180 loads of hay/poop off the ground.

So, here's today's after work photos. We worked the higher end today. Trying to bring it down in size. It was overcast and damp today so happily no bugs!

Today's finds; more hay bale string in the poop/hay, and some electric fence cord (they left the electric fence cord in the forest along what would of been their fence line. Just another thing they never bothered to clean up). I can't believe how much hay bale string we've found in the hay/poop. It's very dangerous for the cows/horses.

This pic is of a new solar radio I got . It's from an American company called "Running Snail". It got amazing reviews online. I paid $60 for it. Despite being very overcast it actually came in better charged then it went out! And we had it quite loud! Has great reception, good sound and volume, and can be charged via the computer, hand crank or sun, and can even take three AAA batteries. I got it off amazon. If you are looking for a good portable radio, I highly recommend.

And one last photo for today! Turkey eggs! Beltsville Turkey eggs! :) I found Mini's secret nest :)

Wishing everyone a super great day! Thanks for listening to me vent! I'm keeping track of all the work we are doing just in case we decide to take legal action against the cow owners. Hugs and love!!!

20 More loads

Another day, another twenty loads!
I'm feeling pretty good about it! We still have piles and piles to go, but look! The front is almost even with the grass.

Today, mixed in with all the hay and poop, we found another hay bale string. That's the 6th one we've found so far.

And we found the small birch tree that was at the front of the area. The poor thing magically disappeared about 5-6 months after the cows got here. They literally knocked it downed. Poor tree. My heart hurts for all the trees. they didn't deserve such ill treatment. We still haven't found our "Turtle Lane" sign and sign post. It was near the birch tree, so maybe we'll find it next time out.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a rain day so hopefully we'll have the day off! I'd love to work on some art! Wishing you all the very best! Thanks for listening to me vent :) Huge love!

Bugs

Good afternoon friends! We managed to get another 20 wagon loads of hay/poop moved today. We went out to work on it this morning, but ran away after a couple of loads as the bugs were too fierce. Went back out this afternoon and the bugs had calmed down so got the remaining loads done.

Today, we focused on the one end. I took the after work pic from the other end this time; the end we worked on. We got a bunch more of the front cleared! We are ground level in a bit of the front area now!

We have now moved 140 wagon loads of hay/poop off the ground, plus 160 loads moving poop mountain. Still got several hundred more loads to go (literally). :( Oh well, such is life. We'll get it done eventually! We are unstoppable! :) Hugs and love!

Working Away

Good day friends! Hope you all had a good weekend! Guess what I did this morning .... shoveled poop! LOL We shoveled wagon loads101-120 (from the hay/poop on the ground). Dear Gods, I hurt so badly! There is so much hay on the ground, I gotta wonder how many bales got wasted.

So, here today's after work pics. I swear it doesn't look like it's less! :( We actually hit ground today at the front of the pile, that's gotta be a good sign!

It's hard to tell when we hit the actually ground, but look, we finally did! We hit ground at the front. That ground should all be even!

Tomorrow is supposed to be another nice day so back to work on it tomorrow morning. wishing you all a great day! Hugs and love!
