The Happy Hippie Haven

I started this blog about twelve years ago. At the time, I was living in Wyoming, Ontario, outside of Sarnia. From there, I moved to Coe Hill, Ontario, and from there Kingsclear, New Brunswick, to finally here in Thorburn, Nova Scotia. When we got to Nova Scotia, I named our farm and farm business, The Happy Hippie Haven. For the sake of my sanity, I'm combining my original country Living blog with my Happy Hippie Haven blog. :)

Greetings! Welcome to my blog "Country Living". I spent the first 30+ years of my life living in large cities, working the night shift as an exotic dancer and eating way too much fast food. Twelve years ago, I moved to the country in a quest to develop a deeper connection with the Earth and to be a more self sufficient person. For a city dweller and a bit of a girlie girl, living in the country has been an adventure. I am constantly learning new stuff and developing new skills. I invite you to share in my experiences and perhaps learn a few new things yourself. When the zombies apocalypse begins, you'll be darn glad you learned a few basic skills on being self sufficient! :)
